The final vocal line on might be "There is a light at the end of the tunnel," but there's no denying that is anything but optimistic; it's an unrelentingly dark and sometimes bluntly turgid record. Anyone familiar with the band had grown accustomed to Andy Cairns' spins on depression, anger, bitterness, and self-destruction, but even the most devoted listener probably screamed "Snap out of it!" while first listening to this third record. Darker chords and slower tempos prevail, and the pop-punk hooks are all but washed away. The sequentially buried, bouncing "Loose" is an anomaly, sounding like a refugee from that reads like a dystopian "Jack and Diane." Other than that, it's nothing but despair and heartache.
Barracuda Triangle is a side project of three members from The Flower Kings: Tomas Bodin on keyboards, Jonas Reingold on bass/guitars and Felix Lehrmann on drums. Their debut "Electro Shock Therapy" (2014) is an instrumental album which demonstrates how talented and what amazing players they all are. The music is an eclectic mix of heavy prog, symphonic and fusion while still keeping it fairly progressive other than just going on improvising forever, there are many different ideas going through all kinds of moods, every song seems to explore different territories while still everything falls under the umbrella of heavy fusion, the music is dramatic, dark, soft, raw and unexpected with some King Crimson inspired moments…

Art Therapy is a first solo album by Krzysztof Lepiarczyk, also know as leader and keyboardist Polish progressive rock band Loonypark.
Excellent addition to any prog rock music collection.
Although admittedly a posthumous release, I was very surprised at the rather dismissive tenor of many of the reviews of this album to date. Hopefully this record will be reappraised soon as being a release worthy of anyone's consideration as I feel it does enhance an already rich legacy left behind by this very fine and innovative band. (So what if Charisma wanted to ride the slipstream of the lucrative ELP juggernaut?)
Essential: A masterpiece of psych-rock music collection.
Vanilla Fudge are a pioneering psychedelic band with a superb lineup and are famous for psyching up well known cover versions. Their debut albums features some of their best and most popular material such as the stunning' You Keep Me Hanging On', 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'She's Not There'.
This CD is interesting on several levels. It is refreshing to hear EC branch out and try new and different things. Great driving music. Some really pretty things too. My Eric Clapton tribute band, Slowhand, uses Retail Therapy as warm up music and between the opener and main show. We usually get at least a few comments on the choice, nearly always favourable. This CD is a must for any serious Clapton collector.
On the 30th June 1990 in the grounds of Knebworth House a concert was staged to raise funds for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and the Brit School For Performing Arts. It has since been heralded as the "best British rock concert of all time". The breathtaking performing line-up was drawn entirely from acts who had been recipients of the prestigious Sliver Clef Award presented annually by Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy for outstanding services to the British Music Industry.
