Great collection by "The King of Light Orchestral Music", the anglo-italian conductor, composer and violinist, Annunzio Mantovani and his orchestra. Four thematic LP are digitally remastered and transferred to a nice 3 CD box set: "Gems forever", "Continental encores", "Mantovani plays tangos" and "Film encores". The sound of Mantovani is unique, mainly due to the famous "cascading strings" effect, a technique that emulates the acoustic properties of a large hall such as a cathedral, through simulated reverberation. Enjoy one of the greatest light music masters, who sold over one million stereo albums and had six albums simultaneously in the US Top 30 in 1959.

There is a legend about a great bell, called "The Mother of Voices," made of pure gold, three times the size of a man, made by monks many years ago… This is the story told in the marketplace by a Viking called Rolfe. This information finds its way to the Islamic ruler Aly Manush, who is obsessed with finding the bell. But Rolfe claims not to know where the bell is, and escapes, back to his homeland, to convince his father and brother to give him a ship and crew to replace the one he lost - or to help him steal the Death Ship which belongs to the king - because he does know where the bell is…

Funk, Jazz, Rock | 45:48 mins | MP3, 320 kbps | 104 MB
Label: Lugnut Brand Records | Year Of Release: 2017

2017 release. The San Francisco Bay Area tradition is as one of those magical centers of musical energy, sending out waves of jazz, psychedelia, rock and funk into the ears of the world. The M-Tet carry on that tradition. Featuring Joe Baer Magnant on guitar, Gary Pitman on Hammond organ, Chris Lujan on bass and Michael Reed on drums, the M-Tet have for the past few years been honing their own very special sonic blend. The M-Tet has managed to wrap up the entire history of Hammond-led groups, from their earliest days when jazz and R&B were wrestling in urban barrooms, through the soulful bookends of Booker T and the MGs and the funky Meters, and into the future, yet never losing sight of their roots. Here, with their new release, the M-Tet offers up fourteen statements of the groove guaranteed to please everyone from the dusty-fingered connoisseur to the Friday night good-timer looking for something to shake it to.

With "High Energy Rockin '& Punkin' Jazz", the popular Hamburg Deern makes a career unclear, clear, it is clear, except for the congenial art rock band Morphine a baritone rarely so prominently staged - certainly not from one Woman, and certainly not of one who surpasses her instrument in size. Had it not long ago gone to Tini Thomsen, all the alto saxophones should have been melted - to baritone saxophones. The same is true of the foghorns, with which you are sure to come home under 50 meters of sight - apart from a few scratches and dents from the occasional rempel. And when it did not seem possible to sound deeper, Tini fetched the bass clarinet.

Since the original Long Lost Friend recording, Johanna Kalén has left the band for health reasons, and the second CD here contains Husky Rescue's most recent work, the duo of Nyberg and Bentley. In music that's always engaging, melodic and lyrical, Husky Rescue work with abstract ideas. The beguiling, cinematic musical landscapes and delicate emotional stories of Husky Rescue evoke freedom, and their imagined spaces are where opposites meet: in their songs, the city meets the countryside, the folk purity of the human voice meets the intricate beats of electronica; and on the second CD of Hypnopompic tracks that accompanied an exhibition of contemporary artist and long-standing Husky Rescue collaborator Kustaa Saksi, sleeping meets wakefulness.

Since time immemorial mankind has taken it upon himself to wage war against nature - against those species of birds and mammals which he believes conflict with his livelihood.
