In the great tradition of female vocal trios of the 1930's and 1940's this album breathes new life into Andrew Sister and Boswell Sisters standards, all cooked up with a New Orleans southern flair. "If you've ever been to New Orleans, the first thing you are struck by is the smell: boudin, river, garlic and magnolias. And then it's the bright cacophony of colors and sounds that come from every doorway. Finally comes the lazy charm which captures your heart forever. We wanted to pay homage to that city's roots while giving a nod to its other favorite pastime: eating good food. With those two main ingredients in mind, we've cooked up a Southern dish we hope you all will enjoy."
