Oscar® winner 1977.
The Sand Castle is the story of the Sandman and the creatures he sculpts out of sand. Under his direction, they build a castle and celebrate the completion of their new home, only to be interrupted by an uninvited guest. The wind blows, and the castle crumbles. The filmmaker leaves the door open to various interpretations.

Animación frame a frame sobre una criatura de arena que crea a otras criaturas para construir un castillo de arena para protegerse contra el viento. Encantador, con un final melancólico.
Gran Premio Annecy 77 (ex aequo). Oscar al mejor corto de animación.

Sequence is a great game to develop strategy thinking. The idea of the game is to place 5 chips of the same color in one line (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) which is what we call a 'sequence'. Two players (or teams) take turns in placing chips on the board. Each player uses chips of specific color. The first player to create predefined number of sequences with the same color chips is the winner.

During the game player holds several cards with images matching the ones on the board and player's chips can only be placed over the images included into player's hand. Black card is used for removing one chip from any place on the board unless it is a part of existing sequence. Yellow card is considered wild and allows to place a chip anywhere on the board except for the corner spots. Corner spots are wild and automatically are counted torwards any color sequence bodering them.

Recorded in Japan in July 1973, this massive, three-LP live album was available outside the United States in 1974 but held back from domestic release in the U.S. It features the same "New Santana Band" that recorded Welcome, and combines that group's jazz and spiritual influences with performances of earlier Latin rock favorites like "Oye Como Va."

One of James Horner's most hushed works, House of Sand and Fog is an aptly brooding, implosive musical counterpart to Vadim Perleman's adaptation of Andre Dubus III's heartbreaking, and bestselling, novel. Horner captures the aspirations of the Behranis, a family of Irani immigrants, in the score's opening tracks. Pieces such as "An Older Life" and "Waves of the Caspian Sea" are quietly hopeful, string-driven compositions that feel like they're going to blossom into the kind of lush, sentimental pieces for which Horner is renowned – but they never do. Likewise, "'This Is No Longer Your House'" and "Kathy's Night" reflect the seeping frustration of Kathy Nicolo, an alcoholic young woman forced to give up her family's house, which the Behranis buy soon after. The musical themes of Nicolo and the Behranis come together, in a subdued manner on "Parallel Lives, Parallel Loves" and more urgently on "The Shooting, a Payment for Our Sins." But even the score's most dramatic moments are understated, providing more of a backdrop for the film's events than a commentary on them.
