"From Fear to Eternity: The Best of 1990–2010" is a compilation album by British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, containing a selection of songs originally released on the eight studio albums from "No Prayer for the Dying" to "The Final Frontier". The title is lifted from the 1992 single, "From Here to Eternity", although it is not featured in this release. As with "Somewhere Back in Time", each track is sung by Bruce Dickinson rather than Blaze Bayley, the band again opting to use later live versions of songs which originally featured other lead vocalists.

Legendary British singer Marianne Faithfull celebrate her storied career's 50th anniversary with the release of "Give My Love to London". Produced by Rob Ellis and Dimitri Tikovoi and mixed by Flood, it features an impressive roll call of studio collaborators including Adrian Utley (Portishead), Brian Eno, Ed Harcourt, Warren Ellis and Jim Sclavunos (The Bad Seeds). Songwriting contributors and co-conspirators - with Faithfull penning the majority of the lyrics - include Nick Cave, Roger Waters, Steve Earle, Tom McRae and Anna Calvi. While featuring a stellar supporting cast, it is Marianne Faithfulls voice which proves the main attraction. These are songs sung from the heart and soul and from the perspective of someone who has seen and done it all. Over a fifty year career, she has proved utterly fearless in her music and everything else besides.

One of the best songwriters of the 1960s and early '70s, with an unassuming style that managed to sound like Fred Neil, J.J. Cale, Jim Croce, Randy Newman, Leonard Cohen, and early Tom Waits by turns (and sometimes all at once), Jesse Winchester would have been as well known and regarded as any of these had history not swept him from Louisiana, where he was born, to Montreal, Canada, where he took up residence in exile (like thousands of other young men at the time) to avoid the Vietnam War. Winchester was working gigs as a lounge pianist when his draft notice came, and while he joined a couple of local bands after his flight to Canada, his life as a musician had been torn apart.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of "Our Love To Admire", Capitol Records reissued this beloved classic. Upon its release, the album debuted in the Top Five in both the U.S. and the U.K. Uncut described the album as ""a majestic, grandiose, machine-tooled album, subtly orchestrated with gothic pianos and doomy organs.” Interpol formed in the late 1990s and quickly established a dense, intoxicating sound featuring layers of guitar, bass and synthesizers. The band came up through the vibrant New York scene, alongside such notable contemporaries as the Strokes and the National, but gained crucial early attention in Britain, where they recorded a prestigious live session for legendary BBC DJ John Peel.

From the Northwest comes the best power rock trio. Grand Theft was by the guitar and vocals genius of Crowbar Mahoon, who also did most of the writings. The mellow rock-solid bass was played by Riley Sedgemont, with demos tracks and the second unreleased album Ben the Rat meets Led Zeppelin.
