"Captured" is the title of Journey's first live album. Recorded during their Departure tour, it was released in February 1981 on the Columbia Records label. The album went on to sell two million copies, reaching No. 9 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. This was the last Journey album for keyboard player and founder Gregg Rolie.
Golden Earring is a Dutch rock band, founded in 1961 in The Hague as the Golden Earrings. They achieved worldwide fame with their international hit songs "Radar Love" in 1973, which went to number one on the Dutch charts, reached the top ten in the UK and went to number thirteen on the US charts, "Twilight Zone" in 1982, and "When the Lady Smiles" in 1984. During their career they had nearly 30 top-ten singles on the Dutch charts; over the years they produced 25 studio albums.
Released in 2003, The Journey Goes On is the band's seventh studio album for metal act featuring dual vocalists, Dougie White (Rainbow/Malmsteen) & John Sloman (Lone Star/Gary Moore), the followup to 2000's 'Nowhere To Hide'. Includes guitarist Dennis Stratton (Iron Maiden) & founding members Chris & Tino Troy. The Journey Goes On is a first rate melodic rock album, and should especially appeal to fans of Demon, Ten, Cornerstone, Magnum, and John Payne-era Asia. If you're expecting a NWOBHM revival album though, you're going to be disappointed.
The second album of CLEARLIGHT 1975. The original LP was released on Virgin Records. Guest musicians: DAVID CROSS (KING CRIMSON), CHRISTIAN BOULE, GILBERT ARTMAN (LARD FREE, URBAN SAX)…etc. Including remixes in 2000 and unreleased tracks from 1980/81 as bonus. "Forever Blowing bubbles" sounds a lot less like Gong and more like a symphonic version of Steve Hillage's solo works. Great progressive rock music with beautiful keyboard, guitar and saxophone solos.
Songs of Leonard Cohen is the debut album by Canadian folk singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, released in December 1967 on Columbia Records. Less successful in the US than in Europe, Songs of Leonard Cohen foreshadowed the kind of chart success Cohen would go on to achieve. It reached number 83 on the Billboard 200 and achieving gold status in the US only in 1989, but peaked at number 13 on the UK Albums Chart, and spent nearly a year and a half on it. Songs of Leonard Cohen was released on CD in 1989, while a digipak edition was released in some European countries in 2003. A remastered version, with the bonus tracks "Store Room" and "Blessed is the Memory," was released in the United States on April 24, 2007.
