2008 live album from the former vocalist with Australian rockers Cold Chisel. On August 5, 2007, Jimmy Barnes headlined a one-off show at the Sydney Opera House for the Max Sessions. Jimmy was backed by an orchestra, a choir and his live band, performing for a select group of fans and family. The audience included Cold Chisel comrades Don Walker and Phil Small alongside friends such as Billy Birmingham, Sam Neill and Brett Lee. The show was in part to welcome Jimmy to the presenting team of MAX's TV show The Know. It was also a chance to revisit some of Jimmy's favorite songs as well as his hits. Jimmy also took this as an opportunity to showcase some of the tunes he was to record the very next day for his current studio album Out In The Blue. 15 tracks including 'Better Off Alone'. 'I Put A Spell On You', 'Come Undone' and many others.
Flesh and Wood is the seventh album by Australian rock singer Jimmy Barnes. The album was recorded using only acoustic instruments and includes various duets with artists including Diesel, Archie Roach, Joe Cocker, Ross Wilson, Tommy Emmanuel, Don Walker, Deborah Conway and The Badloves.
2005 release from the popular Australian singer and is possibly the most anticipated since his debut "Bodyswerve" in 1984. Barnes has found a new, evolving sound…building on the foundation of his rock & roll heritage, he's added a strong female element to the tunes, plus a lot of acoustic, down-to-earth sounds and a deep undercurrent of soul music pervades the tracks. The album contains duets Barnes performed with various solo artists and bands.
