Kazumi Watanabe has for the past 20 years been one of the top guitarists in fusion, a rock-oriented player whose furious power does not mask a creative imagination. Watanabe studied guitar at Tokyo's Yamaha Music School and he was a recording artist while still a teenager. In 1979, he formed the group Kylyn and, in 1983, he put together the Mobo band. Several of his recordings have been made available by Gramavision and they show that he ranks up with Al DiMeola (when he is electrified) and Scott Henderson among the pacesetters in the idiom. This album features a special duet featuring Japanese pianist Kimiko Tanigawa.

The Who's 1982 tour, which was all in North America apart from two warm-up dates at the Birmingham NEC in England, was their last to feature Kenney Jones on drums and they wouldn't tour again until 1989. The tour promoted the recent 'It's Hard' album, which had been released in June 1982, and the set list included a number of tracks from that album, some of which the band would only play live on this tour. This concert film features the show from the second of their two nights at New York's Shea Stadium and was filmed on October 13th 1982. Although a couple of tracks have appeared on compilations, this is the first official release of the full show and features restored footage and newly mixed sound. The release includes Bonus tracks from the first night at Shea Stadium.

Iron Maiden has released over a dozen live records, so the first question for any practical fan is, "do I really need another one?" The Book of Souls Tour is perhaps the most significant in the band's history because it was the first singer Bruce Dickinson undertook after completing treatment for throat cancer. Not only did he sing, but, as usual, piloted the band's 747 to 39 countries on six continents in 2016 and 2017. The band performed in front of more than two million people. The set was produced by Tony Newton with assistance from bassist Steve Harris.

Jack Johnson's To The Sea debuted at number one in the US in 2010 and topped the charts in five other countries. Recorded again in two solar-powered studios, the material on this album broadened out the range of instrumentation with more electric guitar and was even a bit heavier than what was expected from Johnson. Nonetheless fans embraced this new sound, giving Johnson another US gold and Canadian platinum album. G. Love guests on harmonica on two tracks.

For the first time in his career Jack Johnson recorded outside of his home turf of Hawaii. He picked a location no less sunny, however: a solar-powered studio in Los Angeles. While the location might have been different, the outcome was the same: another smash hit for Johnson, another million-seller in the US and another number one album in six countries. Sleep Through The Static took on a darker, more sombre tone as Johnson dedicated the album to his late cousin and wrote about feelings of grief and loss he was experiencing.
