Reissue. Features the high-fidelity SHM-CD format (compatible with standard CD player) and the latest 24bit 192kHz remastering. On Song for My Daughter, his third record for Blue Note, Jack Wilson "changed with the times," to paraphrase one of the record's songs. Like many of his peers on the label, Wilson pursued a pop direction as the '60s drew to a close, which meant he covered pop hits like "Scarborough Fair/Canticle" and "Stormy," and that he recorded the album with a large band augmented by a string section. It is a testament to Wilson's strengths as a pianist that he doesn't get lost in this heavy-handed setting and manages to contribute some typically graceful moments, including the lovely title song.

Progressive Rock

Formed in 1967, Genesis are among the top 30 highest-selling recording artists of all time. Their early work is characterized by complex song structures, elaborate instrumentation and the theatrical antics of founder member and vocalist Peter Gabriel, who left the band in 1975…

Label: Charisma/6369 970 | Release: 1975 | Genre: Progressive-Rock

Essential: A masterpiece of progressive rock music.
This wonderful record (Hackett's first solo outing) is absolutely essential listening for fans of classic Genesis. In fact, then Genesis band mates Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford assist on the album, with Phil providing vocals for the standout "Star of Sirius" (the best Genesis song that Genesis never recorded).
The album is loosely organized around the theme of the Tarot (the awesome and frenetic opening track, "Ace of Wands," is named for a Tarot card, as are other tracks), one of Hackett's interests at the time.

Label: Charisma/9279 530 | Release: 1973 | Genre: Symphonic-Rock

Essential: a masterpiece of progressive rock music.
At the age of 13 prog rock was too complex for me, I couldn't bear the sound of YES, ELP and KING CRIMSON that I heard from the older brothers of some friends. But at the age of 15 I listened to "Live" from GENESIS and then I got interested. I was mesmerized by the cover picture with the dark figure wearing a strange red box on his head.
Genesis ‎- ...And Then There Were Three... (1978) Atlantic/SD 19173 (PR) - US Pressing - LP In 24bit/96kHz - NEW EQUIPMENT!

Genesis ‎- …And Then There Were Three…
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz | 900mb & 200mb
Label: Atlantic/SD 19173 - PR | Release: 1978 | Genre: Progressive-Rock

Excellent addition to any prog rock music collection
This is the last GENESIS' record that I can listen all the songs without being bored, except maybe "Follow You Follow Me", which was a big hit during those years. Despite Steve HACKETT's departure, Mike RUTHEFORD took the control of the guitar elements, and succeeds very well. We feel here that the songs are less loaded, more floating and romantic. The longest tracks are still quite progressive ("Burning Rope", "Lady Lies").
