"Raingods with Zippos" is a 1999 Progressive rock album by ex-Marillion vocalist Fish. "Raingods with Zippos" is often hailed one of Fish's greatest achievements along with his 1990 debut Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors. While he was not involved with the production of this album, Steven Wilson, most famous for his work with Porcupine Tree, played guitar on several of the tracks.

For better or worse, Andrew Lloyd Webber's adaptation of Gaston Leroux's gothic horror/romance novel has done for stage musicals what Spielberg's Jaws did for fish stories, with worldwide sales of its original cast album approaching 25 million. While director Joel Schumacher's film turns on his typically ambitious visual verve, its new film soundtrack recording has been paradoxically focused in scope, yet beefed up dynamically via the brawny presence of a hundred piece orchestra and The London Boys Choir. This single disc version showcases all of Phantom's key songs (a deluxe, double-disc edition is also available), with Gerard Butler imparting a welcome, youthful sensuality to his Phantom, making a fine foil for Emmy Rossum's ever-conflicted Christine. Original show orchestrator David Cullen has fashioned compelling new contemporary arrangements to frame Webber's songs – which now conclude with the lilting, upbeat new ballad he wrote for the film, "Learn to Be Lonely," sung by Minnie Driver.

Fish was the unique voice and mastermind behind progressive rock legends Marillion and on this recording he is captured at his best live. 'For Whom the Bells Toll', is an amazing testament to Fish's special live magic which he conjures up so brilliantly. With sleevenotes written by Fish, the recording was straight to tape and was made on New Years Eve in 1991 at the Edinburgh Playhouse. The line up consisted of Fish (vocals), Frank Usher (Guitar), Robin Boult (Bass), David Paton (bass), Mickey Simmonds (keyboards) and Kevin Wilkinson (drums). David Paton played with Pilot and featured on Kate Bush's first two albums and has also worked with Rick Wakeman. Mickey Simmonds has worked with Mike Oldfield and Kevin Wilkinson has played with China Crisis and Squeeze. This CD was originally issued only to the fan club for mail order sale but is finally available to the retail record buying public. As an added bonus this double CD is priced as for a single which offers great music at great value.

This is not an official release with bonus tracks. Internal Exile was Fish's second solo album after leaving Marillion in 1988. The album, released 28 October 1991, was inspired by the singer's past, his own personal problems and his troubled experiences with his previous record label EMI. The album's music reflects Fish's indulgence in the vast regions of music that he wanted to explore as a solo artist; most notably Celtic music and folk styles. The album also has many concert staples such as "Credo", "Tongues" and "Internal Exile" featuring on a number of Fish's official bootleg recordings.
