Em:t Records was a British record label, based in Nottingham, which specialized in ambient electronic music. In summer 2006, the label officially ceased operations again, although by this time it had not been active for some time. Though em:t never enjoyed widespread commercial success, their releases were highly regarded and influential in ambient circles, and the label attracted a cult following - encouraged, no doubt, by the collectible nature of the releases…

This Sony UK 2013 two-fer pairs two latter-day albums from Buddy Guy: the 2005 album Bring 'Em In and its 2008 sequel, Skin Deep. The Steve Jordan-produced Bring 'Em In and the Tom Hambridge-produced Skin Deep are both cut from the same cloth and feature a bunch of cameos – Keith Richards, John Mayer, and Tracy Chapman on the former; Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi, Eric Clapton, and Robert Randolph on the latter – and if neither are standouts in his discography, they're both enjoyable and this is a nice, easy way to get them both simultaneously.

This 1999 session finds Honeyboy working his acoustic magic in the company of Madison Slim on harmonica and Jimmy D. Lane, son of the late Jimmy Rogers, on second guitar. Recorded at the Blue Heaven Studios (a converted church) in Salina, Kansas, this is a pretty inspired session with Edwards running through old classics like Charlie Patton's "High Water Everywhere" and "Pony Blues", "Drop Down Mama", "Shake 'Em on Down", "Anna Lee", "Bullfrog Blues", and "Monkey Face Woman". As an added bonus, there's also an interview with this fascinating bluesman, making this session a real keeper. One of his best.
