Formed in the early '80s by Danish-born vocalist/guitarist Henrik Ostergaard, San Francisco hard rockers Dirty Looks never achieved the drunken heights of fellow West Coast party starters like Mötley Crüe and Ratt, but their winning blend of blue-collar AC/DC backbeats and cocksure attitude won them a loyal following both at home and overseas. This is a great collection of tracks from the rare and hard to find "Five Easy Pieces" & "Bootlegs" Dirty Looks releases. This 21-track collection shows them at their best, with all the great melodic hooks and greatness.
"Dirty Looks": As if it wasn't hard enough to find this mega-rare album on its vinyl-only release, FnA Records ups the anty by adding a never-before-released bonus track "And I Do" and then takes it one step further by giving you the impossible to find original 1984 fou- song EP (originally pressed in extreme limited quantities). All 15 tracks have been digitally remastered to enhance the listeners enjoyment. Musically, Dirty Looks hadn't quite found their sound yet. Some of the songs are decisively more metallic than the sleazier, AC/DC inspired hard rock the band would play on future releases. Henrik Ostergaard played all the guitar parts on this album, as well as recorded all the vocals. Drummer Paul Anthony "Buck Dulle" and bassist Jimmy Chartley didn't move back to the East Coast with Henrik after the album was recorded and were not part of the band any longer.
