Kaleidoscope is the thirteenth EP by British rock band Coldplay, released worldwide on 14 July 2017. The EP was produced by Rik Simpson with Daniel Green and Bill Rahko and features a new live version of Coldplay's hit collaboration with The Chainsmokers, "Something Just Like This", recorded in Tokyo in April. It also includes "Miracles (Someone Special)", a collaboration with Detroit rapper Big Sean. Another new song, "A L I E N S", was written with Brian Eno, and co-produced by Eno and Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons, Kings Of Leon). The EP is the sister release to the band's acclaimed "A Head Full Of Dreams" album, which has sold more than 5 million copies around the world since its December 2015 release.

Released swiftly after Ghost Stories just a year and a half, all things considered A Head Full of Dreams plays like a riposte to that haunted 2014 album. Where Chris Martin spent Ghost Stories in a mournful mood his sorrow perhaps derived from his divorce to Gwyneth Paltrow or perhaps not it's best not to read too much into the tabloid headlines the Coldplay leader sees nothing but sunshine and stars on A Head Full of Dreams. Martin gives away the game with his song titles. He's quite literally having "Fun" on an "Amazing Day," living for the weekend and viewing his impending middle age as nothing so much as the "Adventure of a Lifetime."

X&Y is the third studio album by the British alternative rock band Coldplay, released on 6 June 2005 in the United Kingdom by the record label Parlophone. The album, which features influences of electronic music, was produced by the band and British record producer Danton Supple. Parachutes is the debut studio album by British alternative rock band Coldplay. The album was a commercial success, and was met with positive reviews. Upon release, the album quickly reached number one in the United Kingdom, and has since been certified 8× Platinum. In the United States, the album peaked at number 51 on the Billboard 200, and has since been certified 2× Platinum. It won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2002, and has earned the band various accolades since its release. Parachutes is also the 19th best-selling album of the 21st century in the United Kingdom, and won the Best British Album award at the 2001 Brit Awards. As of 2011, it has sold around 8.5 million copies worldwide.

A Head Full of Dreams is the seventh studio album by British rock band Coldplay. Coldplay recorded the album from late 2014 to mid 2015, right after the completion of Ghost Stories, with a markedly different style and sound from its predecessors. For various songs, Coldplay collaborated with Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo, Khatia Buniatishvili and Merry Clayton. The album was produced by Rik Simpson and Stargate. The album also features a sample of the U.S. President Barack Obama singing "Amazing Grace" at Clementa C. Pinckney's funeral on the track "Kaleidoscope".
