The German Electronics artist Robert Schroeder (discovered 1978 by EM pioneer Klaus Schulze) has produced numerous excellent solo CDs. The music of Robert Schroeder is various, but always soulful. Ferro OXID is produced in the real good style of the 80s EM. Sequencer and analogue Synthesizer sounds estimated by Berlin School style are emphasized and the impression of the good old Schroeder style is strongly expressed here. Exciting electronic soundscapes, bizarre tones, tension and relaxation, diversion, dreamy romantic synthesizer melodies (mostly played with the Minimoog) and infectious grooves are the right ingredients when it comes to the highest of all the relaxation, excellent listening and best Electronic Music.

He combines spherical synthesizer sounds with modern rhythm-mical contrasts, often supplemented by spacey guitars and sometimes also by piano, cello or voices. On the occasion of the annually “Schallwelle” Award ceremony, Robert Schroeder once again gave a concert on the 12thof March 2011 in the Planetarium Bochum (FRG). Accompanied by drummer Gigi Frieg and in the encore supplemental by surprise guest musician Bernd Kistenmacher for the approx. 250 spectators results a spectacular and impressing event.
Robert Schroeder is a talented and inspired german electronic composer whose career has strong connections with analogue synth sequences and spacey, spherical soundscapes produced by Klaus Schulze during the second half of the seventies. If we compared it with the best essays from K.Schulze's classic period, Harmonic Ascendant figures as a major work, pushing the cosmic synthesizer trippiness to an other level of experimentation and emotion. Harmonic Ascendant is not as majestic and as visceral than early TD and Schulze but clearly better than anything produced by these two masters after the 70's.
