In support of their newest album Into The Wild Life, Halestorm, fronted by the dynamic powerhouse Lzzy Hale, joined forces for The Pretty Reckless to take the road by storm with the Carnival of Madness. They made their stop in Atlanta at the Tabernacle April 23 for a night of really great hard rock music fueled by strong, confident women. Starset in support with a futuristic, space boy motif for their set made for a terrific night of music. Thank god and hallelujah for the power of Lzzy Hale, seriously one of the most dynamic performers in the business.
Rock in Rio dubs itself the world’s biggest music festival, but with its first incarnation in the USA, that seemed less literal than figurative during its first weekend, devoted to rock music. 82,000 fans rung the turnstiles over two days to see the likes of Metallica, Maná, No Doubt, Linkin Park, and many more.
Rival Sons is an American blues and hard-rock band from Long Beach, California, formed in early 2009. Singer Jay Buchanan joined the band after being recruited via MySpace by lead guitarist Scott Holiday. Coming from a background of blues and singer-songwriter music, Buchanan was at first skeptical at the prospect of joining a hard-rock band, but the success of the band’s debut album Before The Fire in 2009 cemented his decision to join. Since then, the band has continued to grow with the release of three more albums and playing with big-name acts like Sammy Hagar, Kiss, and Aerosmith. On May 11, Rival Sons played the Paradise Rock Club.
