Since then he's recorded classic tunes of all kinds – from pop and soul to Brazilian and film gems – in a wide variety of settings…

The Movie Album is a career aspiration come true for Till Brönner, a record he's desired to make for more than a decade. His themes from Hollywood movies, classic and contemporary (with a TV theme thrown in), make this more a pop-jazz record than one for cinephiles. Co-produced by the artist and guitarist Chuck Loeb, most of the set was recorded at Hollywood's East West Studios with a crack band of studio aces, with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester's parts recorded in Berlin.

Germany's most successful trumpeter, distinguished since the beginning of his now 20-year career with an amazing variety of styles, you would with its smart appearance buy a movie star himself. But he can speak primarily his music, now currently with a collection of legendary film music as newer classics, sometimes instrumental, sometimes vocally. Bronner takes the listener on a journey from the golden age of Hollywood to today's blockbuster movies.

I am so excited to be introducing you to such a beautiful spirit and a great friend, Ms. Candy Coburn! Candy is not only a bright light on a dark night, she is also an incredible songwriter and performer. Just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Candy currently resides in Austin, TX but was born and raised a southern girl from Kentucky- Southern Missouri and East Texas. You hear the variations in her thick Southern accent. You also hear the joy in her voice when she speaks. We can sit down for a cup of coffee and have just as much fun as if she is on stage entertaining. Hanging out with Candy is always fun. There is no pretense, no super star ego – although she is in super star territory with her music. Candy has shared the stage with such people as Montgomery Gentry, Blake Shelton, Bret Michaels, Brooks & Dunn, Zac Brown Band, Josh Turner, Marshall Tucker Band, Rodney Crowell, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Charlie Daniels Band, Pat Green, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, just to name a few. Yes, she is up there with the country superstars for sure.

Taken from the same live sessions that resulted in The Trio, this Pablo album features three remarkable virtuosos: pianist Oscar Peterson, guitarist Joe Pass, and bassist Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen. Although not quite reaching the heights of the other set, this LP features some typically extraordinary solos and interplay from these musicians. Highlights include Peterson's "Wheatland," the blues "For Count" (which is referred to in the liner notes as "Miles"), and "The Good Life."

Another gem from the creative Beegie Adair and her trio. This time, she is accompanied by Jeff Steinberg and his orchestra. A loving tribute to Tony Bennett and his illustrious career. As usual, Beegie includes one selection on the album where she plays solo piano and she picked 'I Left My Heart In San Francisco'. A beautiful rendition. This is a great album tinged with jazz overtones without losing the melodic memories of Tony's original sound. The orchestra is perfectly balanced and adds just the right touch while still allowing the familiar Beegie Adair Trio sound to shine through. If you are new to Beegie's music, this album will make you a convert to her impeccable sound and those like myself, have added it as another gem to her large catalog of great music.
