Big Bad Wolf was a sadly short-lived hard rock b-side project of the legendary guitarist/songwriter Craig Chaquico, who played lead guitar with Jefferson Starship and later Starship. When Starship broke up in the early 90’s, Chaquico formed Big Bad Wolf complete with a good-looking rock singer, long hair, and power chords, continuing in the same vein as Starship, recording one eponymous titled album before disbanding.

The Human Factor in Social Capital Management: The Owner-Manager Perspective

The Human Factor in Social Capital Management: The Owner-Manager Perspective
Language: English | PDF | ISBN-10: 1556203497 | 2015 | 220 pages | 1 MB

This book is about the management of social capital processes as they are accomplished–understood, experienced and shaped–by owner-managers. The aim of the book is to develop a deeper understanding of these management processes, and thereby to contribute to a greater congruence between lived social capital perspectives and experiences, and theoretical and empirical literature. The book argues that social capital processes are context dependent and hence cannot be fully understood within an economic understanding of rationality. It follows that claims for the universality of the economic way of looking at life, and for looking at social capital processes are over-stated. Predicated on this insight the book investigates economic notions of rationality, as well as other perspectives on rationality in the management of social capital processes.

In 2011, The Bad Plus invited saxophonist Joshua Redman to join them for a week of enthusiastically received performances at the Blue Note in New York City. They then played a handful of dates before heading into the studio in 2014 to record their debut album, The Bad Plus Joshua Redman, which Nonesuch releases on May 26, 2015. Seven of the nine tracks on The Bad Plus Joshua Redman are new compositions by the quartet members who, in addition to Reid Anderson and Redman, include The Bad Plus pianist Ethan Iverson and drummer David King. The other two songs on the album, "Dirty Blonde" and "Silence Is the Question," are new arrangements of Bad Plus favorites.

A Drop in the Ocean (Ghost Divers pilot) In March 1900, the iron steamer SS Glenelg mysteriously sinks ten kilometers off Victoria's Ninety Mile Beach. Due to a combination of bad luck and ferocious weather, 34 people perish and countless lives are ruined. By now, Mark Ryan's successes have created a huge stir in the dive community. He has plenty of volunteers to help in the Glenelg search, but the elusive shipwreck is unwilling to be found. Researcher Peter Taylor throws away the rule book and relies on instinct. In a dramatic and dangerous sequence of events, SOE discovers the Glenelg only minutes before it becomes too dangerous to dive. The team contacts the Glenelg victims' relatives; only to discover stories of tremendous bravery, incompetence, cowardice, and injustice. In a symbolic gesture of reconciliation Mark Ryan trains Gordon Fyfe (whose great grandfather heroically drowned attempting to rescue passengers) to dive. An anxious Fyfe dives on the ship eventually touching the …
