Allison Pierce is launching the second chapter of her distinguished career with her new album Year of the Rabbit, an eloquent straight-from-the-heart solo debut. The new album finds Pierce transformed following two decades of recording and performing with her sister Catherine as The Pierces. The duo's five albums and constant tours brought them critical acclaim and a loyal fan base. But as the years passed, each longed to express herself unfettered by the other and in 2015, The Pierces called it quits, whereupon the sisters launched solo careers.

In 2011, the Numero Group got in touch with Codeine and pitched the idea of reissuing the band's three records, complete with bonus tracks and the label's usual archival care. The band agreed and the results were beautifully packaged, wonderful-sounding remasters of each release (1991's Frigid Stars LP, 1992's Barely Real, and 1993's The White Birch) complete with enough bonus tracks to double the running length. The albums were combined together for the limited-edition box set When I See the Sun, which included a large foldout poster but no extra music.

At 58, Foster is approaching that golden period in life where he’s all the wiser, and it shows. Like many country greats, Radney Foster’s expert storytelling is the glue that holds his entire ambitious project together. For You to See the Stars is an inspired adventure through stories so clearly inspired by Foster’s own heart that you can’t help but empathize with its heroes. Formed in 1987 by Fred Cole (guitar, vocals), along with his wife Toody Cole (bass vocals) and Andrew Loomis (drums), Dead Moon was a gritty and genuine rock & roll band from the Portland-Oregon area. The band never caught the mainstream wave of success which swept over the Pacific Northwest during the 1990s, but Dead Moon kept true to their DIY punk ethos by releasing their albums on vinyl under their own label Tombstone Records. During their nearly 30-year career as a band, Dead Moon found a rabid fan base overseas and were celebrated in their little corner of the States until they broke up in 2006.

See The Light is the first album from the Jeff Healey Band. Selling a million copies, the album rocketed the Band into the spotlight and kicked off over a decade of intense touring and recording all over the world. “The three years following the release of See The Light were a whirlwind… Almost non-stop touring, talk shows, press and radio interviews with a three-month break only to write and record a new album [Hell To Pay]. I was meeting and touring with ZZ Top, Little Feat, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt and many others.” ~ Jeff Healey

Picking up where they left off with 1995's duet recording Tone Poems II, mandolin master David Grisman and guitar great Martin Taylor blithely saunter through a dozen jazz staples. Taylor's playing boasts a blues-soaked intensity and insouciant fire that isn't normally associated with the willowy and refined soloist, while Grisman showcases a wide variety of adventurous ideas, but at no time do the issues seem forced. The sympathetic and delicate rhythmic support of bassist Jim Kerwin and drummer George Marsh contributes to the air of easygoing delight. Taylor even picks up the mandolin himself on a hidden "keepsake".
