Linda Draper released eighth full-length album of original material called Modern Day Decay. The recording for the new album took place this winter LIVE in the studio in New York City. The new album will feature Jeff Eyrich (Tim Buckley, Bette Midler, Tanya Tucker) on bass and Eric Puente (Grand Slambovians) on drums and percussion. Modern Day Decay will be produced by the inimitable songwriter/producer Matt Reating. Modern Day Decay will be professionally mastered once again by Roman Vail at Joe Lammbert Mastering (Roman did a fantastic job of mastering my previous album).

Rusty Draper was one of the biggest crossover stars of the early '50s, selling over a million records to pop and country audiences before the rise of rock & roll derailed his career. In 1962, he left Mercury to sign with Fred Foster's Monument Records, with diminishing chart success as his style became more old-fashioned. However, he continued to have minor hits in the country charts through the 1960s.

Here is a great collection of extremely rare doo-wop tunes from black artists/groups. There are 1340 tracks on 45 cds and I am betting that there are hundreds of tracks you won't find anywhere else.
Doo-wop is a genre of music that was developed in African-American communities in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Baltimore, Newark, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Detroit, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles in the 1940s, achieving mainstream popularity in the 1950s and early 1960s.
