After a brief detour with the Bluegills' duet album Meet Me at the Lake, Larry McCray returned to form with the storming Born to Play the Blues. Since his 1991 debut Ambition, McCray has been hailed as one of the great contemporary bluesmen of the '90s, and this record reminds us why. It isn't that he offers any innovations or surprises – it's that he is a pure, no-nonsense bluesman, delivering solid guitar lines and soulful vocals. McCray also gets credit for not sticking with tried-and-true material, choosing to write his own songs and try out several tunes from Dave Steen and taking a stab at a Warren Hayes cover. Throughout it all, he plays and sings with passion and heart, confirming his position as one of the finest contemporary bluesmen around.

THE COFFEE MAN follows Sasa from Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee to Seattle, Washington (USA), the home of the specialty coffee movement and host of the World Barista Championship. From humble beginnings in war-torn Yugoslavia to his adopted home in Australia, Sasa Sestic's journey to the 2015 World Barista Championships is a long one. But his dedication and pursuit of excellence carries him through as do his family, his staff, coffee growers and roasters and the vendors who travel with him on this remarkable journey. THE COFFEE MAN is an intensely personal, observational documentary that will have you biting your nails, standing up and cheering; and wishing that you, too, could experience Sasa's Holy Grail: the perfect cup of coffee.

Since forming in Louisville, Ky., in 1998, Second Story Man has carved a robust creative path: two EPs, two full-lengths and a rarities collection, shared stages with Sleater-Kinney, The Gossip and Of Montreal, and tours with Sebadoh and Shipping News. On it's forthcoming self-titled release, the band scrapped all previous material in favor of work focused on massive walls of guitar noise, broad grooves from bassist Jeremy Irvin and new drummer Drew Osborn, and braided vocal harmonies by singer-guitarists Evan Bailey and Carrie Neumayer. Engineered by friend and longtime collaborator Kevin Ratterman (My Morning Jacket, White Reaper, Ray LaMontagne), Second Story Man captures a veteran group's exhilarating, explosive turn.
