This is the Paris Theater concert from 1973 near the end of the bands existence. They are having a very good time in front of a very appreciative audience with Chappo snarling and howling, grunting bass, slicing guitar, wailing organ/synth and rocking drums. The sound - even though mono - is really solid and soundboard clear. It's a wall of sound type mix but everything is quite clear within it. It beats some of the live bonus cuts on some of the individual album releases by miles! If you have all three of the BBC series already - you will find this a very enjoyable and glad addition as the arrangements and sheer drive are unique among the other BBC series. It is a massive rockin testament to the band.
At the end of March 2011, Bill Nelson and the Gentlemen Rocketeers, along with one hundred plus guests, populated Studio A at Metropolis, West London, for a dynamite concert reminiscent of the Marquee club in its heyday. A blistering fourteen song set from the band, which covers much of Bill’s career to date, was the result. We’re delighted to present that set here on both CD and DVD, together with an interview with Bill and a sublime four track solo set as DVD extras.
75 minutes of Deep Purple live; includes 'Smoke on the Water' 'Black Night' & 'Hush'. Recorded at Wacken Festival 2013, Tokyo 2014 & Geavle, Sweden in 2013 (11 tracks). Deep Purple are one of the most influential British rock bands of all time. With 120 million albums sold worldwide, they are also one of the most loved British bands ever. Inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame last year, they have inspired and shaped the taste of generations of hard rock musicians and fans with milestone albums like "In Rock" or "Machine Head" which are essential chapters in rock music history. "Classic Songs Live in Concerts" has all of Deep Purple's biggest hits ("Smoke On The Water", "Space Truckin'", "Highway Star" and many more) recorded live in Tokyo, Wacken and Sweden in 2013 and 2014.
Erstwhile 10,000 Maniacs frontwoman Natalie Merchant continues her highly successful solo career with LIVE IN CONCERT, a show that was recorded at New York's Neil Simon Theater. The set opens, somewhat appropriately, with one of the songs that got Merchant's solo career off to a blazing start, "Wonder." As she usually does in live performance, Merchant plays with the lyrical phrasing of the song to add unexpected melisma and daring tonal gambits. Merchant lends the dark and ephemeral "San Andreas Fault" a lightly sultry quality not found on the studio version. Other familiar favorites include "Beloved Wife," "Carnival," and "Ophelia." Merchant revisits the Maniacs' catalog only once, for a rousing take on "Gun Shy." Two unexpected covers spice the middle of the set: a haunting and powerful reading of David Bowie's "Space Oddity," and a beautiful take on Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush".

A couple of years after the release of Queen's mammoth 3-video bio The Magic Years, a compilation of live material was issued, titled Rare Live: A Concert Through Time and Space. Released in most countries (except the U.S.), the video was directed by the same duo responsible for The Magic Years - Rudi Dolezal and Hannes Rossacher…
Celebrating 30 years as a band, Norway’s TNT pulled out all the stops on this live anniversary concert. Bringing out the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, special guests like Dee Snider, and all three vocalists from the early years with Dag Ingebrigsten to the height of popularity with Tony Harnell and the latter days of Tony Mills, these 19 tracks encompass the wide discography of this Melodic Hard Rock band. I’ll admit a strong affinity in the 1980’s for this band- especially the period from 1984-1989 when the band would release a series of strong albums, “Knights of the New Thunder”, “Tell No Tales”, and “Intuition”.
