Let It Be Sessions is a 2012 6CD bootleg box set by British boy band The Beatles. Everything on this was recorded in January 1969 during the sessions for what was to be Get Back but for what became the Let It Be. It features multiple versions of most of the songs from the album plus a few extra tidbits. It isn't everything recorded in January 1969, there is a box set for that but it's an excellent listen. This was released by Secret Garden.

The highly anticipated second volume of songs by John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison is no less potent than 2011's Come Together (CDCHD 1300) one of Ace s most popular titles. The compositions of Lennon, McCartney & Harrison were no less appreciated by their black American peers than they were by their fellow pop and rock acts. Here are 22 reinterpretations of Beatles classics that frequently take the songs in new directions, but never lose sight of the original intention of the writers.

Connie Evingson isn't the first person to provide a vocal jazz tribute to the Beatles; over the years, everyone from Sarah Vaughan to Czech singer Peter Lipa has interpreted the John Lennon/Paul McCartney songbook. But Let It Be Jazz, the Minneapolis resident's fifth album, is among the more creatively successful..

The only Beatles album to occasion negative, even hostile reviews, there are few other rock records as controversial as Let It Be. First off, several facts need to be explained: although released in May 1970, this was not their final album, but largely recorded in early 1969, way before Abbey Road…

' song catalog is one of the best-known and revered bodies of work in the whole of modern music, and the depth, variety, and timelessness of the songs this once-in-a-lifetime band produced make that catalog both a marvel and a treasure. Everyone knows these songs, and everyone knows them in the original Beatles versions. Those versions are there, shining in stone, and even when they show up in remixes like in the recent LOVE mashup, the original recordings echo unshakably in the mind. knows this.
