Outgrowing the wild-hearted club anthems that defined her ascent, Kesha sounds reborn on her third album, commanding a set of sonically broad, heartfelt pop. Here, she punctuates the assertive funk of “Woman” with The Dap-Kings’ horn section and sings country-touched harmonies with Dolly Parton. But Rainbow is held together by Kesha’s elastic, giggle-to-roar vocal, which sounds best on blasting, jittery confections like “Boogie Feet” and “Learn to Let Go."

Kesha reclaims her place in the music world with her new song, "Praying" - the initial advance track from 'Rainbow', her first album in nearly five years. Kesha wrote "Praying" with Ryan Lewis, Ben Abraham, and Andrew Joslyn; Lewis (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis) produced the track. 'Rainbow' will be released August 11th on Kemosabe Records/RCA Records. The music video for "Praying," is directed by Jonas Åkerlund. 'Rainbow' marks a new beginning for Kesha, one based around inner strength and musical exploration as she achieves her vision for the album by enlisting a roster of collaborators ranging from Eagles of Death Metal to Dolly Parton. Ben Folds produced the title track with Kesha, while Ricky Reed produced and wrote numerous tracks as well. Wrabel co-wrote a collaboration that features the Dap-Kings horn section.

On her excellent comeback record, Rainbow, Kesha channels that drama into the best music of her career - finding common ground between the honky-tonks she loves and the dance clubs she ruled. Between glossy beats, epic ballads and grimy guitar riffs. This third full-length studio release for the pop artist features guest appearances from The Dap-Kings Horns, Eagles Of Death Metal, Dolly Parton.

2010 four CD anthology from the British Progressive Rock band, the most comprehensive overview of their career, focusing on Camel's long association with Decca which yielded the group's best loved and most significant work. Rainbow's End features key album tracks from Camel, Mirage, The Snow Goose, Moonmadness, Rain Dances, Breathless, I Can See Your House From Here and Nude, plus rare studio and live recordings made for Decca Records and the BBC. Housed in a hard-back book package, the lavish booklet contains previously unseen photographs, memorabilia and essay by Mark Powell. One of Decca's later signings during the first `progressive' age which began in the late '60s, Camel would prove to be one of the label's most commercially successful bands and one of the most enduring. Unlike many of their contemporaries, Camel have survived over three decades in the music business and still command a loyal and devoted following throughout the world, both in concert and on record.

As the kickoff album of Mangione's A & M period, this is the one that still retained the magic of his "Concerts" period with Polygram (Mercury), when he and the Rochester Philharmonic made some truly beautiful music. That period was the bridge between his "Jazz Brothers" days when he was a protege of the late Dizzy Gillespie (and sounded it) and his most commercially successful period, when his sound got him recognized by some experts as the inventor of what is now termed "smooth jazz". I don't know about that–the way I see it, Mangione has always sounded best fronting a full orchestra. You'll hear echoes of that in this album and in a similar effort "Chase the Clouds Away". I will always prefer the Mangione who was comparable to Lalo Schifrin and John Barry to his bebop and smooth jazz incarnations.

Mariah Carey claims Rainbow, her first album since divorcing Tommy Mottola, "chronicles my emotional roller coaster ride of the past year," but less subjective listeners could be forgiven for viewing it as simply another Mariah Carey album. After all, all the elements are in place – the crossover dance hits, the ballads, the cameos, the hip producers, the weird cover choice from the early '80s. But dig a little deeper, and her words ring true. Rainbow is the first Carey album where she's written personal lyrics, and allusions to her separation from Mottola are evident throughout the album, even if it doesn't really amount to the "story" she mentions in the liner notes…

A beautiful and wonderfully textured album full of life and color. The album follows the narrative of a storybook of the same name, which tells the adventures of a group of goblins. Takanaka, uses only spoken word bits in the beginning of most tracks to tell the story, and then lets the music do the rest, with most of it surprisingly sounding very in-theme with the actual plot of the book. He incorporates elements of traditional Japanese music, synthpop, rock, and plunderphonics as well, manipulating samples and other instruments to create sounds that were previously unheard of. Even though the album could be cut down a good ten minutes, and the song lengths are pretty inconsistent, The Rainbow Goblins is such a fun and playful interpretation of the book that it's hard to believe that the goblins themselves would hear anything else but this in their place.
