Jack Bruce and Robin Trower for the first time performing live! The news spread like wildfire, the sensation was perfect.
The legendary Cream bassist and singer, all his life striking new paths in blues and jazzrock, and the immense talented guitarist of Procol Harum fame who left the chains of 5-minute-pop behind him very early and who never followed any mainstream cliches: Both musicians have written history in rock for more than 40 years.

This 93-minute program includes 21 songs drawn from five All-Starr Band tours. A splendid time was clearly had by all, from members of the Eagles, the Band, and Bruce Springsteen's group to Todd Rundgren, the Rascals' Felix Cavaliere, Procol Harum's Gary Brooker, Dr. John, Randy Bachman, and many more. Not a lot of surprises (what, you thought Ringo wouldn't sing "Yellow Submarine" and "With a Little Help from My Friends"?), but there are some unexpectedly compelling moments, like a fiery version of "Sunshine of Your Love" featuring Peter Frampton and Cream's Jack Bruce.

"Seven Moons" sees the former Procol Harum guitarist and Cream bassist reunite for the first time since 1982's Truce.
On their third collaboration, Robin Trower and Jack Bruce again opt for the blues-influenced, rocking, power trio format that suits them so well. Gary Husband plays the drums.
Trower Hendrix-influenced but very personal guitar playing is truly superb. Jack Bruce's highly commercial voice and distinctive bass playing make for a most appealing combination. Gary Husband is, of course, a superlative drummer having previously recorded with great musicians including Gary Moore, Allan Holdsworth, Billy Cobham and John McLaughlin. He has also already collaborated with Jack Bruce. He proves to be the perfect drummer for this album.

One of the giants of the alto saxophone, Johnny Hodges was perhaps the most important soloist and sideman in Duke Ellington's orchestra from 1928 up to Hodges' death in 1970. The self-taught player made many solo forays during his long career - one of his '50s outfits included a young John Coltrane - but history remembers Hodges for his virtuosic sidemanship, particularly his sensitive rendering of ballads.

Ringo Starr went back to work in the summer of 1989 fronting a tour of rock stars who, like him, had become golden oldies. Ringo sang hits like "It Don't Come Easy" and "Photograph," Dr. John sang "Iko Iko," Levon Helm of the Band sang "The Weight," his bandmate Rick Danko sang "Raining in My Heart," an old Buddy Holly tune, Billy Preston sang "Will It Go Round Iin Circles," and Joe Walsh sang the Eagles' "Life in the Fast Lane."…
