The day after they moved in, Coraline went exploring….
In Coraline's family's new flat are twenty-one window and fourteen doors. Thirteen of the doors open and close, The fourteenth is locked, and on the other side is only a brick wall, until the day Coraline unlocks the door to find a passage to another flat in another house just like her own.
Only it's different….

Coraline – Neil Gaiman
English | PDF | 192 pages | ISBN: 0060825456 | 138 MB

Coraline lives with her preoccupied parents in part of a huge old house–a house so huge that other people live in it, too… round, old former actresses Miss Spink and Miss Forcible and their aging Highland terriers ("We trod the boards, luvvy") and the mustachioed old man under the roof ("'The reason you cannot see the mouse circus,' said the man upstairs, 'is that the mice are not yet ready and rehearsed.'") Coraline contents herself for weeks with exploring the vast garden and grounds. But with a little rain she becomes bored–so bored that she begins to count everything blue (153), the windows (21), and the doors (14). And it is the 14th door that–sometimes blocked with a wall of bricks–opens up for Coraline into an entirely alternate universe. Now, if you're thinking fondly of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe or Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, you're on the wrong track. Neil Gaiman's Coraline is far darker, far stranger, playing on our deepest fears. And, like Roald Dahl's work, it is delicious.

Neil Gaiman - Coraline [UNABRIDGED] (Audiobook 3 CDs)

This is a somewhat spooky story about a girl named Coraline (not Caroline as the crazy old man says). It is like a modern version of Alice in WonderLand but without the silliness. It may frighten or confuse children under eight and I recommend it for people of all ages above that. This story is mainly about how Coraline tries to escape the wicked other mother, free her parents from the other mothers cluches, and free the souls of the children who live in the mirror. She will encounter the other mother, a talking cat who helps her on her journey, and the rats who help the other mother and give Coraline spooky messages. If you like books that are a little bit spooky, sort of weird, but a lot of fun to read, then this is the perfect book for you.
Neil Gaiman is a master storyteller. His diction is perfect. He does not waste words, but is not miserly with them either. His descriptions never fail to rouse a knowing nod and smile from the reader. Even when writing a quick throwaway piece in his journal...his style is impeccable.

Memories Dreams Reflections is a double CD which encapsulates everything that Toby Marks' sound has evolved from, and into, over the past two decades. Featuring new tracks, remakes and overhauls of widely favoured classics, and not at all in the least, the stellar twenty two minute remake of the legendary Pink Floyd ensemble, “Echoes”, it illustrates in painstaking detail the history of Banco de Gaia. Disc 1 features cover versions of tunes which coloured Toby's musical growth as well as remakes of early, little-known, Banco classics. Disc 2 brings together live recordings from across years covering every aspect of the live and recorded sound.
