This is the first official release of 3 Live in Concert. Recorded in 1988, the sound quality of this live recording is fantastic. Hearing all the tunes from the1988 studio album in this live setting is a real treat. It brings back memories of seeing this show later in the tour…
Grace Slick and Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane introduce concert footage of The Doors' 1968 European tour.
After releasing Say You Will in April of 2003, Fleetwood Mac embarked on a long world tour. In late 2003, Live In Boston was recorded. Released in June of 2004, Live In Boston contained two dvds of the concert and a cd containing 10 of the tracks. Each song on here is performed very well, and usually heavier than its studio album version.
Through the years, Randy Hansen has acquired himself quite a reputation as one of the best Hendrix impersonators on the 3rd stone from the sun. From the Archives! "Live In Boston 1980", was recorded by a fan on cassette near the sound board. It is a bit rough but captures a great Randy Hansen live show. This show was from the tour supporting the 1980 Randy Hansen Album on Capitol Records.
LIVE IN NEW YORK is a six-disc collection that contains all four of The Doors’ final tour performances—in their entirety—recorded in 1970 at the Felt Forum in New York City. Recorded January 17 and 18, 1970—just a few weeks before the release of Morrison Hotel—these concerts find Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Robby Krieger, and Ray Manzarek locked in tight as they deliver smoking takes on soon-to-be-classics from their forthcoming album.
Fans will be blown away by the crisp sound found on LIVE IN NEW YORK. All four shows were mixed and mastered by the band’s longtime engineer, Bruce Botnick, who recorded a number of shows from The Doors’ 1970 tour on multi-track tape for the Absolutely Live album. Sadly, these shows represent The Doors’ final New York City performances with Morrison, who passed away July 3, 1971.
In some ways UK represented both the last hurrah of progressive music's golden age, and the standard by which all other supergroups that followed would be judged. The impeccable technical precision, complex yet modern arrangements, and dynamic live performances made them an overnight legend whose reputation has far outlasted their brief existence. No other supergroup, progressive or otherwise, has had such an immediate and lasting impact. Recorded live September 11, 1978 at Paradise Theatre in Boston, this recording is finally available after long been only found as a bootleg. Two tracks with the original UK line-up, rather than the more familiar 2nd (Danger Money and later) UK line-up.
