The full addition of Alan Wilder to Depeche Mode's lineup created a perfect troika that would last another 11 years, as the combination of Martin Gore's songwriting, Wilder's arranging, and David Gahan's singing and live star power resulted in an ever more compelling series of albums and singles. Construction Time Again, the new lineup's first full effort, is a bit hit and miss nonetheless, but when it does hit, it does so perfectly…

Construction Time Again is Depeche Mode's third studio album and was released in 1983. It was engineered by Gareth Jones and recorded at John Foxx's Garden studios in London. The album featured the band's first use of a Synclavier; the band members used this instrument to incorporate "found" sound samples from their neighborhood, manipulating them with the Synclavier. The sounds used on the album consisted mainly of hammering anvils, clanging pipes, running water, and other similar sounds.

There was a time when you could walk into your average record store and find the singles section by spotting the big block of black rows. These rows signaled the whereabouts of the Ds and tended to eat up a disproportionate space of the singles section. In 2004, the Mute label condensed all of these releases into Remixes 81-04, which itself was ironically (or fittingly) presented in multiple versions. This particular version is a triple-disc set that attempts to function as a representative sampling of Depeche Mode's innumerable remixes.

Originally a product of Britain's new romantic movement, Depeche Mode went on to become the quintessential electro-pop band of the 1980s. One of the first acts to establish a musical identity based completely around the use of synthesizers, they began their existence as a bouncy dance-pop outfit but gradually developed a darker, more dramatic sound that ultimately positioned them as one of the most successful alternative bands of their era.

I wanted to have the 122 minutes concert in it's entirety and the CD that comes with this edition is a waste of time, only 8 tracks. So I simply ripped the entire concert including the 2 bonus tracks using the lossless track LPCM 48kHz / 16bit / 2Ch. Why have a CD with 8 songs when you can make your own CD with 21 songs. As you probably noticed, I didn't downsample to RedBook format (44kHz), so, if you want to burn the DVD-Video tracks to CD-R, you'll have to downsample yourself using programs like Sound Forge, Audition, Audacity.

Celebrating seven years together, Time and Time Again is the fourth release by The Cookers since the group's recording debut, Warriors (Jazz Legacy Productions, 2010). The band's all-star lineup, who first rose to prominence in the late '60s and early '70s, was initially formed by trumpet player David Weiss, who also serves as musical director. In addition to Weiss, the septet features the muscular frontline of trumpeter Eddie Henderson, tenor saxophonist Billy Harper and alto saxophonist Donald Harrison (replacing Craig Handy), with pianist George Cables, bassist Cecil McBee and drummer Billy Hart manning the blue chip rhythm section.

DEPECHE MODE - 13 ALBUMS
Electronica, Rock | MP3 256 Kbps

Depeche Mode is an electronic music band from the town of Basildon, England, founded in 1980. They have been one of the longest-lived and most successful bands to have emerged during the New Wave/New Romantic era; many of their videos have been heavily rotated on MTV. As of 2006, it is estimated that Depeche Mode has sold over 72 million albums worldwide. They have influenced many of today's popular recording artists, in part due to their innovative work, recording techniques and use of sampling; however they are still often thought of as an "Eighties band". Though influential in the modern electronic dance scene, they remain in the rock genre.
