Death Train, also known as Detonator, is a 1993 action film, one of Pierce Brosnan's earlier films. It also stars Christopher Lee, Patrick Stewart, Ted Levine and Alexandra Paul. The script was based on an Alastair MacNeill novel of the same name, which in turn was based on an Alistair MacLean screenplay.

There've been plenty of songs about cars, several songs about planes, and a fair share about trucks, but perhaps the vehicles that inspire the most tunes are trains. Certainly, Ace's 2015 compilation All Aboard! 25 Train Tracks Calling at All Musical Stations suggests as much, containing 25 train-besotted tracks from every style of popular song. The earliest song here is Cliff Carlisle's blues "Pan American Man," dating all the way back to 1937 when trains were still a major mode of transportation in the U.S., and the latest comes from 2012, when Norton Records' Daddy Long Legs delve into the frenzied raunch of "Death Train Blues."

In a sense, Tangerine Dream's 2008 album, "Views from a Red Train", is an updated version of Edgar Froese's solo album "Macula Transfer" of 1976 in that many of the tracks were composed by Froese whilst killing time on the road, either in airport departure lounges, motel rooms, or simply visiting tourist spots. Happily, the result this time is an altogether more mature and developed affair, even than the solo album's 2005 rehash. The new album benefits hugely from substantial contributions from regular TD collaborating artists in addition to the composer: Bernhard Beibl provides characteristically flashy and flamboyant guitar work on a handful of tracks, complementing Edgar Froese's own intoxicating melodic riffs to perfection…
