Produced by music legend Jim Scott and with a crack band, Holding Up The Sun is an amazing album and promises to be the one that breaks new ground for singer/songwriter/guitarist Danny Click. Recorded in just two short weeks at Scotts Plyrz Studios in LA, Holding Up The Sun is very fresh and live sounding yet still refined, especially in the songwriting. This is what thousands of miles on the road and countless nights examining the human condition sounds like–-real, honest and filled with hope.

Paul Lawler's uplifting album is truly a celebration of the morning sunrise. Each track enhances the senses and builds to a crescendo of a new day. Paul's orchestral background makes each track feel and sound like a film score but in its own right is a joy to listen to. It is inspiring, relaxing and stimulating - a creative piece of music that is polished. It shines!

The fantastic indie rockers are back with another great record to blast you through the end of summer. The album has that great FTM beat running through most tracks with a solid garage rock grit and riffs to keep ya coming back for more. Another one to add to the collection.

…Nothing Like the Sun is the second solo studio album by English singer-songwriter Sting. The album was originally released on 13 October 1987 on A&M (worldwide). The album explores the genres of pop rock, soft rock, jazz, reggae, world, acoustic rock, dance-rock, and funk rock. The songs were recorded during March–August in 1987 in sessions that took place at Air Studios, in Montserrat, assisted by record producers Hugh Padgham, Bryan Loren, and Neil Dorfsman. It features a number of high-profile guest guitarists, including former Police member Andy Summers, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, and Hiram Bullock, and is generally regarded as the culmination of the smoother, more adult-oriented sound of Sting's early work. On release, the album was received favorably by the majority of music critics and in 1989, the album was ranked #90 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Best Albums of the Eighties".

After releasing a stunning self-titled debut in 2000 on Magna Carta — one that actually lived up to all the hype heaped on this California quartet at the time — Under the Sun quietly soldiered on through personnel changes, record-label woes and an evolving modern progressive-rock landscape.

In 2013, Funky Town Grooves reissued a significant portion of Norman Connors' discography as a leader slash highly connected talent organizer. Along with straightforward Dance of Magic/Dark of Light and You Are My Starship/Aquarian Dream two-for-one releases, as well as individualized bonus-track-enhanced reissues of Invitation and Take It to the Limit, there was this - a pairing of Connors' 1974 Buddah dates. Among the highlights: a gorgeous eight-minute "Love from the Sun," a storming version of Carlos Garnett's "Mother of the Future" (with Jean Carn at full, jaw-dropping power), and Reggie Lucas' funky instrumental "Slew Foot."
