Burning Bridges is the thirteenth studio album by American rock band Bon Jovi. Produced by John Shanks, it was released worldwide on August 21, 2015, through Mercury Records. It is the first album without former guitarist Richie Sambora, who left the band in 2013, and the last one released through Mercury, meaning the end of a 32 years old relationship. According to Jon Bon Jovi, the album serves as a "fan record" to tie in with an accompanying international tour: "It’s songs that weren’t finished, that were finished, a couple of new ones like the one we released as a single "We Don't Run".

Of all the rock bands that came of age in the 1980s, Bon Jovi ranks among the least likely to still be making records and playing arenas 30 years later. The band always seemed too light and frothy to have any real staying power.
But “Burning Bridges” is the Bon Jovi’s 13th studio album, although the first without founding member and guitarist Richie Sambora, who left two years ago for personal reasons. Fittingly, it’s largely a collection of songs from the Sambora years that have been polished and released to promote an upcoming European tour.

Die-hard Bon Jovi fans will swear on their sacred Slippery When Wet albums that Bon Jovi is by far one of the best rock bands to sing (or scream) along to, no matter where you are – in the car, on the road, or in your room, crooning into your hairbrush or anything you can get your hands on. One Wild Night: Live 1985-2001 is the perfect album for fans and newcomers alike, as it features a plentiful bounty of the band's biggest hits and most-screamable tunes…

Jon Bon Jovi's first official solo album, Destination Anywhere (apparently Blaze of Glory doesn't count because it was a soundtrack) finds the hard rocker attempting to simultaneously make his signature sound more mature and more contemporary…

With These Days, Bon Jovi firmly established themselves as an adult contemporary act. They still have their fair share of rockers, but they seem half-hearted and incomplete…
