The Fillmore Concerts is a 1992 compilation set by The Allman Brothers Band. Released on 20 October, 1992, the recordings here are taken from the same set of shows that created Live At Fillmore East but at the time, most of these performances were not released. It is an alternate way to hear a cherished live album.

The Allman Brother Band's breakthrough 1971 album at Fillmore East expanded to six-CD box set The 1971 Fillmore East Recordings. Universal Music Enterprises and Mercury Records release The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Band's historic 1971 performances at Bill Graham's iconic New York City venue. The recordings feature all four performances from the legendary weekend of March 12-13, which yielded at Fillmore East, as well as the Allmans' headlining set from the Fillmore East's closing weekend June 27,1971.

Whereas most great live rock albums are about energy, At Fillmore East is like a great live jazz session, where the pleasure comes from the musicians' interaction and playing. The great thing about that is, the original album that brought the Allmans so much acclaim is as notable for its clever studio editing as it is for its performances. Producer Tom Dowd skillfully trimmed some of the performances down to relatively concise running time (edits later restored on the double-disc set The Fillmore Concerts), at times condensing several performances into one track.

The Allman Brothers’ second album, Idlewild South has been remastered from its original tapes. This mixture of chunky grooves and sophisticated textures showcases both Gregg Allman’s and Dickey Betts’ skills as songwriters. This classic album includes the hit “Midnight Rider.” The Deluxe edition adds 12 tracks not included on the original release. Bonus tracks are a combination of live tracks, studio cuts and outtakes.

Well, this actually may be one of the best shows in quite a while. The Allman Brothers Band comes out and absolutely kills this Friday night set. The highlight of the show is a full rendition of "Will The Circle Be Unbroken?" in the middle of an epic Whipping Post jam encore. But really, this entire show was great. You shouldn't still be reading this - you should already be listening to the show.

Essentially the Allman Brothers Band's Gold collection is an expanded version of both the Universal Masters and 20th Century Masters collections. It contains two discs that total 30 cuts and cover the band's catalog from 1969's Allman Brothers Band to 1975's Enlightened Rogues. There are five cuts from the first album, including the original studio version of "Whipping Post," and four from Idlewild South, including the studio read of "Midnight Ride." The cuts from At Fillmore East number four with the inclusion of the 13-minute "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed," and five from Eat a Peach, including "Melissa," "Blue Sky," and "Ain't Wasting Time No More." Five cuts come from Brothers and Sisters and, yes, "Ramblin' Man" and "Jessica" are among them…
